Installing Aeolian
- iPhone / iPad: get it from the App Store, or add the web version to your Home Screen, open the site in Safari, tap the Share button, then "Add to Home Screen."
- Android: open the site in Chrome, tap the menu, then "Add to Home screen" (or "Install app").
- Once added, Aeolian works offline. There's no account and no sign-in.
What's free, and what the unlock adds
Aeolian is a free download. Three techniques, Physiological Sigh, Box Breathing, and Diaphragmatic Breathing, are fully functional forever, along with the timer, the safety guidance, and the how-to material.
A single one-time unlock, $9.99, no subscription, opens the rest of the manual: all of the techniques with the guided pacer, the full evidence library, and the extra theme presets. Buy it once and it's yours, including anything added later.
Safety content is never locked. Contraindications, cautions, and how-to guidance are available to everyone regardless of purchase.
Restoring a purchase
If you reinstall the app or move to a new device signed in to the same Apple ID, open Settings, then About, then "Restore purchases." Your unlock will be restored at no charge. (You can also restore from the unlock screen.)
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple rather than by us. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID, or go to Settings on your device, tap your name, then "Media & Purchases," then view your purchase history. If something went wrong, email us as well and we'll do what we can to help.
The app isn't updating
Installed web apps refresh in the background. If a change hasn't appeared, fully close Aeolian and reopen it once, that lets the new version take over. On iOS, a changed Home-Screen icon may need you to delete and re-add the app.
Apple Health and the Pulse tool
These are optional. If you connect Apple Health, Aeolian can read your recent heart rate and HRV to show how a session affected you, and can log completed sessions as Mindful Minutes. The Pulse tool estimates your heart rate from your fingertip with the camera. All of it is processed on your device and nothing is transmitted, see the Privacy Policy. You can turn any of it off in Settings or revoke Health access in the iOS Health app.
A note on health questions
Aeolian is a wellness and education tool, not medical software, and we can't give medical advice or tell you whether a specific practice is safe for your situation. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or feel unwell during a practice, please stop and speak with a qualified clinician. The in-app Safety & Contraindications section and the per-technique cautions are there for everyone, please read them. If something feels wrong, stop.
