Terms of Use
Aeolian, a field manual of the breath
Effective 5 July 2026
The short version: Aeolian is a wellness and education tool, not medical advice. You use the breathing practices at your own risk, please read the in-app safety guidance. Buying the unlock is a one-time purchase for your personal use.
1. Acceptance
By using Aeolian, the app and this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use Aeolian.
2. Not medical advice
Aeolian is for general wellness and education. It is not medical software, not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in Aeolian should be taken as a recommendation to start, stop, or change any medical care. Always seek the advice of a qualified clinician with any questions about a medical condition, and never disregard professional advice because of something in this app.
3. Health, safety, and assumption of risk
Some breathing practices, especially those involving forceful breathing or breath-holds, are not appropriate for everyone. Do not practice them near water, while driving, or where a faint could cause harm. Clear them with a clinician first if you are pregnant or have epilepsy, serious heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, a recent surgery, or a history of fainting. If you feel lightheaded, unwell, or that something is wrong, stop and breathe normally.
You acknowledge that breathwork carries inherent risks, that you take part voluntarily and at your own risk, and that you are responsible for practicing safely and within your own limits. You agree to read the in-app Safety & Contraindications section and the per-technique cautions before practicing, and to follow them.
4. Purchases
Aeolian is free to download. It offers a single one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks the full manual. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Purchases are processed by the app store (Apple), which handles billing, receipts, restores, and refunds under its own terms. Your unlock is tied to your store account and can be restored on your devices signed in to that account. Access delivered by invitation code on the web is provided at our discretion and may be limited or withdrawn.
5. Ownership and acceptable use
Aeolian, including its text, design, artwork, code, and the arrangement of its content, is owned by its creator and protected by intellectual-property laws. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Aeolian for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, rebrand, reverse-engineer, or create derivative or competing products from any part of Aeolian, except where such restriction is prohibited by law. Method and technique names are used descriptively; all trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
6. No warranty
Aeolian is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your particular circumstances.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creator of Aeolian will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss, or harm arising from your use of, or inability to use, Aeolian or the practices it describes. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you; nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use of Aeolian means you accept the updated Terms.
